Hello there! I have a variety of education experience for over five years now with different age groups. While studying in college I worked at an after school care program that followed the school districts curriculum. At this job I assisted with elementary school students with homework and creating lessons for learning time. After graduating college I became a substitute teacher and assisted in all types of classrooms such as math, reading, youth leadership, dance, social studies, science and more. During my time substituting I also worked with high school students as a tutor to help them prepare for the STAAR reading exam. I was selected for this position specifically because of my positive impact I had made while being a substitute. Finally, after working as a substitute and tutor for two years, I became a classroom teacher and have been teaching English Language Arts and Reading at a middle school.
