As a teacher, it is my absolute joy to teach, learn with and from, and guide children. I am passionate about Social Studies (the subject that I teach) and English. I also speak some French! Throughout my life, I have cared for many children. I have moved around my entire life, so unfortunately I did not have long lasting relationships with many of the families I worked with. But my unique circumstances and life in places lie Guinea, Senegal, Mali, and Kenya, has given me a keen sense of cultural understanding. My lifestyle has also ensured that I am very adaptable. My approach to childcare is simple; listen to those I'm caring for, and assess from there. I consider myself to be a fun, understanding person, with the ability to be firm when needed. Kids bring me so much joy, and I truly believe that they teach us so very much. I look forward to caring for your children and learning as much from them as they do from me!

Britta is an above-and-beyond child care provider! We hired her as our full time nanny to take care of our three-year old. He had been with his previous nanny for over a year and the transition was not easy! She was calm, attentive, never raising her voice and talking him through several difficult morning/evening transitions, especially around mealtimes. She also took special care to think through meal prep, spending extra time cooking hearty and well-balanced meals, noticing his emerging interest in baseball and making sure to check out library books and even got him a bat and a ball so they could play in the park in the afternoons. She was always on time, dependable, prompt with communication, kept great notes and photos of the day, and we all just got along really well as people, too. The only reason we didn't stay with Britta in the longer term was purely logistical -- we ended up deciding that we really needed a nanny with a car. A very lucky family will get to work with her next!
