About Bridget

My name is Bridget and I'm a 29-year-old elementary and special needs teacher in Philadelphia. I'm certified in Special Education K-12 and Elementary Education K-6. I currently teach all subject areas in a school for 3rd through 6th graders with behavior problems. I've been working with special needs children from age 3 all the way to age 21 for the past 8 years. I have spent time in life skills, emotional support, autistic support, learning support, and reading resource classrooms. I have also worked as a golf instructor, high school basketball coach, and high school softball coach. I currently live in Olde City, so many neighborhoods are easily accessible to me and I am able to get to many locations last minute, especially if you have an emergency or a last minute situation arises for you. I love working with children of all ages. I also believe in the motto that there are no "bad" kids. Many children act out due to their frustrations. As a teacher, I've developed a lot of patience, understanding, and have found ways to support the children I work with through any situation.
