About Brendan

I am a chemical engineer about to complete my PhD at UW. Teaching and mentoring have been parts of my educational path since the beginning, and I have served this role for students from middle school to college students (of all ages). In high school I was paid to tutor several junior students in math and AP exam prep and also did volunteer tutoring positions. In undergrad, I served as a peer instructor for engineering courses after I completed them, and expanded the tutoring program to cover multiple courses and include instructional videos. I won awards for my teaching of undergrads at UW and formally mentored 4 students in and outside the lab. I love teaching and mentoring and I plan to make it my career. I'm adept at tailoring my tutoring to students of multiple ages and skill levels.
