About Bethany

Hi there! I'm a UW graduate student and instructor with over 5 years of teaching and nannying experience. I'm also a graduate of the University of Michigan and a returned Peace Corps Volunteer! Right now, I am looking for work to supplement my teaching income, particularly in summer. As a graduate student in education, I'm well versed in methods of gentle instruction and giving kids autonomy in their learning and playing. I believe kids learn best from a healthy balance of structure and predictability to feel safe along with creative freedom to experiment and wonder at the world around them, and I'd make it my job to give your own children this learning and thriving environment! I'm also highly active and an outdoor enthusiast (I've hiked the Appalachian and Pacific Crest Trails), so I promise to keep them active, engaged, and off those screens!
