About Ava

Hi! I am an energetic, outgoing, and positive special education teacher located in Ballston, Arlington, VA. I recently graduated from Vanderbilt University majoring in special education on the severe and multiple disabilities track. I have 8 years of experience caring for children as I have babysat and tutored for children all throughout high school and college. Before I start my teaching job in August, I am looking to provide care to children of any age and ability level. I adore working with all children and teens! As a caregiver and teacher, I love to have fun with kids and engage with them in their interests and hobbies, while also setting important boundaries. I hope to meet you soon! :)
