One thing families should know about me is that I am deeply patient and intentional in my work with children. I'd describe my personality as compassionate, dependable, and patient. I started tutoring in 2019 through City Year in Chicago Public Schools, where I provided academic support to students in reading and math. I like tutoring because I enjoy helping students build confidence and understand concepts in a way that finally "clicks" for them. My top 3 tutoring skills are differentiated instruction, patience and strong student rapport-building, and elementary literacy and math support with a focus on foundational skills. I'm looking for a job that has a supportive and respectful environment where I can make a meaningful impact and build strong relationships with families. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family and watching my child learn and explore new things. I also enjoy relaxing activities like reading and being outdoors.
