About Andrea

My name is Andrea and I am currently a junior at GW university. I have meaningful experience supporting and working with children in educational and mentorship settings, including children with special needs. Growing up with a brother with autism has given me a deeply personal understanding of the patience, adaptability, and empathy required to support neurodivergent children. This experience inspired my interest and involvement in caring for children. I have aided and cared for special needs children at centers and babysat children throughout high school and beyond. I am comfortable in working and helping in English and Spanish. I prioritize consistency, calm communication, and emotional safety. I understand the importance of routine and compassionate responses. I love pets and am happy to assist with their care, including feeding and walking. Above all, I strive to create an environment where every child feels comfortable and supported.
