About Amy

Unlocking a student's unique potential through personalized support is the cornerstone of my teaching philosophy. With three years of experience, I focus on building confidence and fostering a genuine love for learning, rather than simple memorization. I assess your child's needs by observing their interaction with new material and adapting my methods--incorporating visual aids, hands-on activities, and open discussions. When concepts feel challenging, I break them into manageable steps and connect lessons to real-world interests to maintain momentum. I believe clear communication with parents is essential to building trust and ensuring we remain a collaborative team. Nothing is more rewarding than watching a student's confidence grow as they master new skills. I am happy to meet at a local library, community center, or coffee shop to support your elementary student. I look forward to helping your child succeed and discovering the joy in their academic journey.
