About Amelie

I'd describe my personality as patient, curious, and adaptive. I like working with kids because they offer a fun and unique perspective on the world. I am also very passionate about aiding children through their developmental years, offering them tools and security to grow and be their unique selves. I'm looking for a job that provides consistent hours. I started working with kids when I was 17 years old, a family friend was looking for support with their kiddo who had mental health special needs. In my spare time, I like to go hiking, paddle boarding, and read books on mental health modalities. One thing you should know about me is I have been a group leader in a mental health non profit teaching Dialectal Behavior Therapy. My skills include aiding children through emotion regulation; encourage experiential activities and play; and exploring healthy and emotionally safe nutritional foods.
