About Amber

I am a professional English educator teaching since 2009, specializing in academic writing, literature, essay development, and homeschool English support. I founded Snoke English to provide personalized tutoring and writing feedback for students. I was previously licensed in North Carolina to teach English Language Arts for grades 6-12. I earned my M. A. in English and B. A. in Secondary English Education from NC State University, was a North Carolina Teaching Fellow, and hold an EPIC Master Certification in online teaching. I have taught students from 9th grade through college-level literature courses in Wake and Johnston County schools and NC community colleges. I also have experience tutoring through private instruction, a tutoring company, and college writing centers. I love helping students discover the power of English while building confidence in reading, writing, and communication. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, sourdough baking, and art.
