About Maria

Over the course of studying education, I have learned how important it is to differentiate instruction to tailor to the learning needs of each child. I am to do this in my tutoring sessions by really getting to know the student and how they learn best, so that learning is simple and easy. I have three years of tutoring experience under my belt that range from tutoring fifth graders in all subject areas to tutoring college students in organic and biochemistry. In between I have tutored students in 6th grade, 7th grade, and 8th grade math, which has become a focus subject for me since there is such a high demand. I taught sixth grade math in North Raleigh at Saint Raphael's and well-versed in how the skills build off of one another throughout middle school.
