About Amber

I have 6 years of experience tutoring all ages in every core subject from pre-K up to AP high school classes and SAT prep. I also have 7 years of experience as a preschool teacher/curriculum lead teacher. I am highly experienced in creating engaging, individualized tutoring lesson plans and materials based on each student's needs, learning style(s), and interests. I track student progress, test the effectiveness of my teaching methods for each student, and use these results to constantly improve upon my tutoring. I am passionate about deepening the students' understanding not just memorizing. Depending on the student and topic, I may write songs, create funny/catchy pneumonics/analogies, play games, draw/make visuals or 3-D models, or orchestrate hands-on simulations/real-world experiences. I have teaching strategies to help every learning style and many disabilities including ADHD, ASD, APD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, and Down syndrome.
