About Sophia

My goal as a tutor is to help students find what works best for them by tailoring each session to their individual learning style while building their confidence along the way. As a student, I utilized tutoring throughout elementary and middle school, and those experiences helped me better understand how I learn and fostered a deeper love of learning. Because of that, I want to create that same supportive and encouraging experience for my students. I have 3. 5 years of experience working with elementary-aged children, as well as one year of experience tutoring elementary and middle school students in Math, English, Science, and Study Skills. I enjoy breaking down challenging concepts into smaller, more manageable steps and creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. Most importantly, I want my students to leave each session feeling more confident in themselves and excited about what they're learning.
