About Amber

I am a certified EMT and preschool teacher. Experience: 7 years teaching up to 15 kids at a time aged 2. 5-6 y/o, 3 years babysitting for 3-7 kids at a time ages 5-11 including twins, 2 years caring for a nonverbal teen with Down Syndrome and Autism, and 6 years tutoring all ages from pre-K up to AP high school classes and SAT prep. I have a lot of easily adaptable lesson plans and learning materials already prepared for all ages especially pre-K if that is something you are interested in! Along with academics, I am passionate about teaching kids practical life and social emotional skills-any chore that I may help with I would love to find age-appropriate ways to involve the child(ren)! My EMT training assures my ability to ensure safety and well-being, manage emergencies, and provide skilled emergency medical care. I also have a B. S. in Environmental Science from the UW and love taking kids outside, experience coaching sports camps, have my own car, and am comfortable with pets.
