About Amara

Hello! My name's Amara, and I'm a recent graduate of UVM with a BS in psychology and minor in anthropology. During my time at UVM I spent 3 years working in the Family Development Lab which really fostered my curiosity for child development, and gave me a huge amount of experience in the area. Over those years I was also working with families as a caretaker for kids, and as an extra set of hands to keep the household running. I spent 6 years working at a cooking school and still love to for fun, which certainly came in handy for those roles. I know that there is nothing more important than being able to trust that a child is safe, comfortable, and well cared for in a parent's absence, and my primary goal is always to provide that with clear communication, reliability, and consistency with a family's style.
