About Alyssa

I have 2 years experience doing homework help, as well as 2 summers teaching Math, Science, Coding, Social Studies, and English through the Boys and Girls Club of Garden Grove. I have primarily worked with elementary grade students, but have also worked with middle school grade students. I graduate from High School with Honors, and I am currently in my final year of university at Calstate Long Beach. I am passionate about helping students learn despite any struggles they may have with their academics, and I have experience teaching students with learning disabilities. I look forward to helping your student with any challenges or questions they may have! I'd describe my personality as energetic, welcoming, and determined!! I like tutoring because I love to learn but also struggled with my studies when I was younger because of a learning disability. I want to be able to help students see that they can be smart and successful despite any challenges they face!
