About Allison

I am incredibly passionate about raising kids to fall in love with learning and to foster their natural curiosity of the world around them. I have never been an official nanny before but after being a stay-at-home mom (16 boy, 11 girl) for the last 16 years, I feel the hands-on experience is well beyond what I could offer had I just been young and out of school. I have always tried to maintain a good schedule balancing healthy meals, nap times, and learning/play time, along with the importance of maintaining an organized child-care area (with the help of child if old enough). It is necessary to understand some housework, meal prep, some errands, and possible animal care comes along with this role as I have been there and understand what it takes! Before being a mom, I worked in social work and teaching. I have also homeschooled for a couple years - both my children are straight A students and love school! I love my family, animals, reading, traveling and always learning new things!
