About Aliya

Hi, I'm Aliya! I'm an international ESL teacher with 6 years of experience across New York, Lisbon, Madrid, and the Netherlands. I specialize in helping children thrive academically, build confidence, and adapt to new learning environments. In New York, I led the Amigos Club mentorship program supporting newly immigrated students. In Madrid, I taught English as a Second Language to grades 3-5 at a local elementary school and provided private tutoring tailored to each child's needs. In the Netherlands, I helped a child from Beijing progress from limited English proficiency to confident academic and social communication, while supporting the family's cultural adjustment. I am patient, kind, and committed to encouraging curiosity and a love of learning. I have full-time availability starting in September and references upon request.
