About Kimberly

Hello! My name is Kimberly, and I am a New York State certified teacher with over 20 years of experience working with young children. I specialize in one-on-one academic tutoring for Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First Grade students. I am certified in Early Childhood Education (Birth-Grade 2) and Students with Disabilities (SWD), Birth-Grade 2. My approach is developmentally appropriate, individualized, and nurturing, while still maintaining clear academic goals. Sessions focus on early literacy, phonics, reading readiness, writing foundations, math skills, and confidence-building. Tutoring is instructional only, one hour - two hours per session, and may take place in my home, the child's home, or a public library. I value strong communication with families and enjoy helping children build a solid foundation and love of learning.
