About Alison

I'm currently midway through pursuing my Master's of Social Work, specialized in Children, Youth, and Families. I have extensive experience in providing direct care to three families on a repeated basis, and several others for intermittent care. My approach in these roles was largely characterized by an emphasis on social and emotional development. Identifying opportunities for enrichment in everyday tasks became a regular mindfulness activity. During my workdays, I might be found on the living room floor engaging in imaginative play, doing age appropriate yoga and dance, practicing mindfulness with the kids at the dinner table, walking down to the local library, finding approaches to get the kids engaged with everyday chores, or driving to the children's museum.
