About Alison

Empowering students to reach their potential drives my approach to education. In June I graduated from Dartmouth College summa cum laude as class salutatorian and with a degree in History and Spanish. In September I will begin a Fulbright grant, teaching English to middle school students in Spain. With three years of tutoring experience, I focus on building problem-solving skills through tailored support. I adapt my teaching methods by actively observing how a student interacts with new material. When concepts grow challenging, I break them into manageable steps and connect them to students' own interests to maintain momentum, and I believe clear communication builds the trust necessary to celebrate every "aha!" moment together. Whether we meet at your home, the library, or online, I am dedicated to creating a patient environment where your student feels confident mastering English (especially reading), math, or Spanish.
