About Alexis

I have a tutoring background that goes back to 2015. During all four years of high school, I tutored middle school and preschool students after school. During college, I also helped tutor family friends' children in various academic subjects. In addition, I have a background as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where I worked one-on-one with autistic children to strengthen skills they were lacking in through individualized targets. This included helping with motor skills, communication, play skills, and other developmental areas, which also required patience, structure, and teaching strategies similar to tutoring. I also conducted behavioral and developmental evaluations during my time as a director of a daycare for 4 and 5-year-olds to help assess their readiness for kindergarten. These experiences strengthened my ability to support children in ways that are encouraging, personalized, and focused on growth.
