About Alana

Former NYC lifeguard and swim instructor with a background in finance and a genuine passion for caregiving. I started working with children at 14 and have cared for kids with different personalities, ages, and abilities, including two autistic boys. That experience taught me that learning and development come in many forms-safety, confidence, and curiosity matter more than perfection. I also spent a year providing full-time care for my father during hospice, advocating for him and managing the details of his care. That experience deepened my patience, empathy, and attention to detail. I love working with kids because they bring out my creative and playful side, balancing my analytical nature. I enjoy hiking, fitness, training my two poodles, and preparing for a triathlon. I've traveled to 24 countries and love encouraging curiosity, movement, and learning. I'm dependable, attentive, active, and committed to creating a safe and fun environment where children feel seen and supported.
