About Alaina

Hello! My name is Alaina. I have three years of experience with children. My background includes a college degree in elementary education, and I am a certified teacher. I have worked as a special education paraprofessional as well as an elementary classroom teacher. As a paraprofessional, I worked in a variety of areas including teaching mathematics to 4th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. As a classroom teacher, I have taught ELA and mathematics to 4th and 5th graders. I also have provided afterschool tutoring to 5th graders in mathematics. My passion, as you can tell, is helping kids with math! I am looking for some summer work as a tutor or babysitter until school starts again August 19th. I am also willing to tutor or babysit during the school year after school hours or on the weekend. With either job, I will respect you as the parent and follow your lead.
