About Addy

I like working with kids because I get to help them develop skills while also having fun playing with and observing them. I am working toward a career in pediatric OT, majoring in HDFS, and I currently work in preschool, so I have acquired great skills for working with children. In my spare time, I like to sing, paint, go for walks, read, and spend time with my fiancé, friends, and family. Some things you should know about me are that I have worked closely with preschoolers and toddlers, children with certain behavioral and sensory differences from ADHD, SPD, ODD, and level 1 autism, and children with hearing loss, so I know how to work with cochlear implants, hearing aids, and BAHAs. My skills include playfulness, creativity, responsibility, and empathy. I have an authoritative childcare mindset: mutual respect, active listening, and understanding child development. I have basic cooking skills, craft skills, and I am applying soon to a pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid course.
