I am looking to find some full time help for my dad who lives in Longboat Key. He has mild dementia, but is very high functioning and physically independent. It's the small things he forgets. He will need help with meal preparation, shopping, and errands. He is a well educated and polite guy who is active and funny. He's become frustrated with his dementia, but is never too difficult to deal with. We are looking for somebody who can be a problem solver and willing to take charge. We also need somebody who can be fun and casual and we want to avoid making the situation "clinical." In other words, he doesn't want to feel like a babysitter is watching him during the day.
