My experience ranges from home hospice care, oncology nursing, respite care, special needs care giving (both home health and live-in), medicine administration, activities of daily living, errand running, meal preparation including specialized dietary restrictions, companionship, assisting with physical activity, transfer assistance, and mental health care. I am a kind and attentive caregiver who receives tremendous joy from being able to make a difference in people's life. I believe caring for our seniors is one of my greatest passions. My interest in care started at the age of 16 when my grandmother passed away from a late diagnosis of colon cancer. I can remember how sad I felt when I saw how poorly she was treated while in the hospital. That was the moment I decided I wanted to become a healthcare provider. I believe that everyone no matter their age, culture, race, or financial situation should be given the best care that could be offered. I wanted to be that person who made their day! I graduated high school with a certified nursing assistant certificate and started on my journey to becoming a part of the healthcare system. I have always respected my elders. Spent a lot of time volunteering as a child in a nursing home where my grandmother worked. I also have went through CPR & Hospice training.

I have worked in Nursing Homes, Hospitals and Homes in Canada. I used to fly up North to the remote communities to provide respite, support and personal care to those who were unable to care for themselves. I have also worked in memory care homes and hospitals and love being able to give the same care to people that I would want for my own parents. When my father got sick, I saw the wonderful care he received through Home Care and wanted to be able to provide that support to others.
