Brazilian Nursing Student Looking For Summer Job
Dear prospective family,
I am a 29-year-old Brazilian Nursing student currently in the Buffalo area for a few weeks during Winter (Dec 12th - Jan 23rd) and I would be delighted to use my experience in childcare to help out your family during my free time.
From 2006 to 2010 I lived in the USA working full time as an Au pair/nanny and acquired tons of experience with all age ranges. In 2013, I worked as a babysitter in the United Kingdom through my exchange program, looking after an infant and a toddler. All of my previous positions included driving kids to school and activities, feeding, bathing, potty/sleep training, light housekeeping, supervising play-dates, helping with homework and bed time routines and ensuring children's overall safety and well-being. In addition, my childcare background includes working as a recreational monitor at a children's buffet, a ballet instructor, as well as volunteering as a chaperon for children and kids in national/international summer camps. Also, I have been part of the Pediatric Academic League and the Research Group in Pediatric and Neonatal Nursing Care at my university, where I am on my final year of my Bachelor's Degree. I have successfully completed the Mother & Child Health and Pediatric Care modules. This has enabled me to assist breastfeeding moms, and help in early age processes such as weaning and transition to solid foods with a strong empirical and practical understanding of a child's needs.
In this module I went over Child and Infant CPR, Advanced Practices in Emergencies, and Integrated Management of Childhood Illness courses, so I am ready for any situation that might arise concerning a child's health. Furthermore, I am a safe driver with a clean International Driver's License, as well as, a skilled swimmer. Most of all, I absolutely love working with children and being part of their development. I am not afraid to roll up my sleeves and have fun with them while keeping boundaries in a loving, yet firm way. References from my former employers in the US and UK can be provided, and they will be glad to speak to you about my services with their families. I look forward to speaking with you! Kind regards.
