During the course of my teaching career I have held both elementary and middle school educator roles. Initially, I gained valuable experience in grades 1, 3, and 4. For the last eight years, I taught English/language arts in 7th and 8th grade, as well as 6th grade math. Additionally, during the spring of 2020, I utilized online Classroom to bring online instruction to my students. While I did retire from full-time teaching this summer (2020), I am excited to continue helping students to reach their academic goals!

Hi I'm Chrissy and I am a science and math tutor, and I have been tutoring for 5 years. I have a Master's degree in Biochemistry/ Biotechnology and a Bachelors degree in the same subjects as well. I also have two years of teaching experience as a long-term substitute for both math and science ranging from grades 7 through 12. However, I can teach the subjects for all ages and I would love to help students reach their full potential! I also have roughly two years experience teaching music lessons (specifically flute). I can give more in-depth flute lessons, up to college-level difficulty, but I can teach players of any instrument to read music. I also have experience with percussion (bells), tenor saxophone, in addition to piccolo.

Hi! My name is Lindsey and I am interested in tutoring high school chemistry and math. A little bit about me - I live in Cranberry Township. I graduated from Seneca Valley High School in 2018 and I am currently a junior at Duquesne Unversity studying chemistry and math. At Duquesne, I am involved in undergraduate research project in organic synthesis and chemical catalysis. I am also a member of American Chemical Society (ACS), Duquesne Women in STEM, and the professional fraternity (Alpha Chi Sigma). I am familiar with the teaching styles and curriculum of the science and math department at Seneca Valley as I took AP chemistry and biology, CHS calculus, honors organic and biochemistry, physics and molecular biology. Due to my passion for STEM, patience and strong organization skills, I would be an excellent tutor for high school math and chemistry.

My undergraduate degree is in mathematics, and I have a masters degree in secondary math education. I have close to 20 years experience teaching, and I have been tutoring for about 10 years. I am most comfortable with math classes up to and including Algebra 2. I have accepted a nanny/tutoring position for weekdays, but I am available in the evening to tutor. My hourly tutoring rate is $45/hour.

Hi all! My name is Julia and I am a 22-year-old biology student at Slippery Rock University. Due to the world current pandemic I am looking to tutor in math and science (and more if needed) while finishing my own degree. I have 8 years of childcare experience, 1 of which as a school age teacher at a daycare. In that experience, I helped 7-15 kids with their homework and entertained them before and after school each day. I also have 20 college education major credits that specified in lesson planning, learning and teaching strategies, and 5-12th grade education.

I have tutored for an after-care program for The College School in Newark, Delaware during 2018 ages 5-12. This included an hour of time dedicated to homework or schoolwork and then outside activities. If students did not have homework that day, they dedicated the time to reading. I have also student-taught grades 1, 2, and 4 which included daily activities specific to Reading, Grammar/Phonics, Writing, and Math.

I have been tutoring students since I was in 10th grade. I have a degree in middle-level math and science education and I'm currently working on a graduate degree in special education. I love children and especially enjoy getting to work one on one or in small groups with students who may need a little extra help.
