I am a freshman majoring in Public Health with four years of hands-on experience working with children, including coaching and teaching swim lessons (ages 4 months - 16 years). I have also tutored at my local elementary school, focusing on 1st and 4th grade. I love working with kids and am CPR/AED certified. I'd describe my personality as patient, dedicated, and upbeat! I like tutoring because I love being able to see kids achieve a goal they have been working towards, and realize that their hard work pays off. In my spare time, I like to play water polo, paint, and read. One thing you should know about me is I am a very kind and patient person who is willing to go the extra mile to help their child succeed. My skills include creating relatable examples to help connect topics to kids, recognizing when someone is getting frustrated and changing my approach, and turning learning into games.
