Part Time Summer Child Care
I started working with young children when I was 16 at the YMCA in New York. There I worked with infants three months to toddlers of four years. During this time I also nannied part time for a family of a 6-month-old boy. I continued to work with him each summer until he was nine. Throughout college I continued to work with children aged three months to five years in the YMCA member childcare program, the YMCA infant/toddler center, and the YMCA Preschool. I began working with school aged children in 2014 with Burlington School District After School Program and. continue to work there part time. After I graduated with my degree and license to teach birth through sixth grade I began working at Champlain Elementary as the Planning Room Paraeducator. While in this position I began my graduate degree in Special Education with a focus on Emotional Disturbances. I continue to work part time for both the YMCA and BSD After School.

Family Engagement Specialist Available For Part-Time Child Care
I am currently a Family Engagement Specialist with Northeastern Family Institute, VT., which means I work with families involved with DCF in St. Albans. I support parents in meeting their children's needs, strengthening bonds, and helping develop and strengthen parenting skills. Though this is not the service I would be providing you as a part-time babysitter, I am fortified with the skills to support your style of parenting and development goals for your child. I want you to know that what you want for your child is being met even when you are not home! I have babysitting experience dating back to middle school, and I was a full-time nanny for a family for two summers in college, with 4 children, ranging from 6-13 yrs. old. I facilitate a Baby Group at my day job, so I spend multiple days a week with infants and toddlers as well. I start my Masters of Public Health at UVM in September, and though I love my day job, part-time caregiving will boost me reaching my educational goals.

Part-Time Fun Caregiver Available!
Hi! I have been a babysitter, caring for infants and teens, since I was in high school in Connecticut. I was also a summer camp counselor for three summers during college, in Maine and New York City. While in New York I worked primarily with kids from the ages of 6 and 7, and in Maine I worked mostly with pre-teens and teenagers. Since I graduated from Smith College in 2012, I have been living in South Africa where I did my Masters in Bioethics and Health Law. I have since moved to Burlington to start my postbacc premed this summer. I have continued to look after children throughout my studies and love teaching kids new games and experiences!!

SCO Burlington family is seeking a full-time nanny for their three children ages 1, 3 and 6. Care is primarily for the 1-year-old as the 6-year-old will be in Kindergarten, and the 3-year-old will be in pre-school 3 days a week. Care is needed Monday through Friday from 8am-4 p.m. Their ideal nanny will be child centered. First and foremost, they want their nanny to be focused on their children. They don't want a nanny who will be on her cell phone, they want someone who will be an active participant in play. They are also looking for someone who is creative - they feel that their best nannies have been the ones that keep their children busy and active every day. They love when the nanny introduces new games, puzzles, books, outdoor adventures, songs and art projects. Structure is also important to them - their kids do well with routine. They eat lunch around the same time and nap around the same time every day. They are looking for a nanny that is punctual and can help keep their kids on a healthy schedule. They encourage fun outings to places like Echo, Ethan Allen Homestead, playgrounds, beaches, etc. On M/W/F care will just be for their youngest child. Days will consist of having fun while also sticking to a healthy meal and nap schedule. At 3:30 their eldest will get off the bus and the nanny would need to meet him at the bus stop. On T/TH care will be for their 1 and 3-year-old with the same focus on fun and daily routines. Once again their oldest will be getting off the bus at 3:30. Household duties would include cleaning up breakfast and lunch dishes, picking up after activities, folding kid's laundry on Monday, and perhaps a trip to the grocery store on Wednesdays. The dad works for a company that is based out of Washington DC. On most days he works from his office that is off their garage. Some days he is out of town on business (2-5 days out of the month). They would hope that the nanny be available to come a little earlier on those days to help get the kids to school. They are looking to have an open and honest relationship with their nanny. They want someone who will communicate about the children's day, both the good and the bad, and for the nanny to feel comfortable telling them what is going well and what the family can do to help to make things better. Position starts 8/20 and they are looking for someone long term. Pay is $15-$18 per hr. They offer paid vacations, sick days and holidays off with pay.
