About who needs care: She has muscular dystrophy, intellectual delay, and a few other underlying health conditions that are managed (sleep apnea, chronic constipation, heart and lung weakness, etc). She needs care throughout the day, needs to be gotten out of bed, bathed, teeth brushed, all hygiene needs met. She gets four feedings a day + medication administered in the morning and before bed, her feedings are 2 hours apart (for example: 10:30, 12:30, 2:30, and 4:30) and she needs diaper changes/bathroom visits every 2 hours as well. She gets put to bed around 10:30 p.m. and as is able to be left to herself overnight. About the care needs: Someone who is patient, able to deal with bodily fluids, kind and compassionate, and it would be nice if they had experience with changing a G-Tube and other slightly medical activities. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
