Full-Time Memory Care Specialist / Personal Caregiver

Full-time Memory Care Specialist for elderly woman with early-stage Alzheimer's in Santa Barbara. Monday-Friday, 10 AM-6 PM, $35-45/hour. Primary goal: build trusting relationship so she feels secure when husband leaves. Responsibilities include companionship through art, music, and dance; personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming); meals; medication reminders; light housekeeping; errands; and transportation. Critical: History of falls with broken bones--must be physically capable of lifting/transferring her. Requires CNA/HHA certification, 5+ years dementia care experience, valid driver's license, and commitment to being consistent daily presence (no rotating staff). CPR/First Aid preferred. Long-term position with caring family seeking passionate caregiver with patience and empathy.
