About who needs care: She has stage 4 Melanoma, radiating nerve pain in her spine that shoots down her right leg, congestive heart failure and a-fib, and lives independently in her single level home. She loves to garden, go shopping with assistance, attend mass at a local Catholic church, arrange flowers, and loves art. She eats mainly vegan with eggs and occasional meat sources for protein. Her biggest energy time of the day is mornings currently. About the care needs: We would like a caregiver who is professional, kind, patient, and compassionate toward someone living in chronic pain. We are looking for someone who is reliable, on time, and who is willing to be flexible with their day to day tasks, depending on how Maria is feeling that day. Must have reliable, safe transport and a good driving record. We would appreciate a caregiver who does not conduct personal business while on the clock. It would be beneficial for the caregiver to be comfortable with the Catholic faith and ok with taking Maria to mass on occasion. Encouraging her in her faith is a bonus. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
