My mom is 74 and has always been in terrific shape. She is loving, kind, patient, and the smartest person I know. Her home is amazingly organized; so much that she would put Martha Stewart to shame. The day after Mother's Day she suffered seizures - the first in her life - that sent her into a coma and the ICU for 10 days. A total of 15 days in the hospital. She was diagnosed with an inoperable, terminal stage IV glioblastoma (brain tumor). I want to stress this is a disease. It will slowly eat her memories, her cognition, and her physical health from the inside out. My mom is headed down a long, dark road and I need to find the strongest, bravest women to help me hold her hands through this since I can't be there for her every step of the way. Wake up 6am, have breakfast and coffee in favorite chair on porch, relax til 7:30, get dressed, put on make up, straighten up the house, do laundry, make bed, clean up kitchen, relax more, eat a snack, exercise, do some social media scrolling, spend time with family if home, spend time outside if nice, tend to plants and/or bird feeders, decorate for season (thanksgiving is close), change out clothing for appropriate season in closet.
