About who needs care: Loving mother. Stubborn streak. COPD, Asthma are her driving health issues. She uses a walker to get around. My wife will be her primary source of transportation including for appointments. Care giver will confirm mom is taking meds and tracking vitals. The caregiver will NOT dispense or manage anything meds related. Some meal prep. We will provide the recipes and supplies. Light ongoing cleaning, dusting, mopping vacuuming, dishes and laundry for my mom. Mom is mentally alert and independent. We are trying to keep her that way. About the care needs: Warm and nurturing. No grumps. They need to be willing to go through a background check. They are forbidden from accepting tips, gratuities and gifts from my mom under any circumstances. Any purchases will be performed by a family member. Caregiver can manage tasks and lists like shopping lists but will not have any access to mom's accounts. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
