About who needs care: My dad is 91 and lives alone. He is extremely independent-minded but has declined significantly over the last couple of years. He was a scientist and is still very science-oriented. He is dependent on a walker now and is very sedentary. About the care needs: My dad can be prickly, so someone who is used to opinionated seniors would be ideal. He likes these done certain ways. Someone very patient would be ideal, and who could talk to him and engage with him. He likes to spend time on his laptop, so someone comfortable with occasionally helping him log on would be helpful. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
