About who needs care: Dementia Fall risk She gets up around 10:30 a.m. Its hard to get her up - encouragement and helping her Then she needs a bit of assistance ( not much ) to do her morning routine Will need a bit of help getting in and out of s shower ( she has a chair and necessary items ) Want to make sure she doesnt skip or forget anything Then medicines and trying to get her to eat She doesnt remember to eat and says she is not hungry One thing that works is to take her to a little fast good place to eat ( chick fil a etc ) It also acts as a way for her to walk around and get some movement and exercise ( she has a walker , cane etc that any caretaker will be able to help with ) Again - just hold on and make sure she doesnt fall! Afternoons , pretty slow Tea with some snacks Get her to drink water and her protein shakes Walk her around the driveway ( big area being a gate) Evening - same Eat, meds get ready for bed She watches whatever in tv But cant hear or see very well so its usuallu just set to the news or such One story house - not big She has lived there for 35+ years so knows it well Nice lady - the dementia can cause the usual outbursts of emotion / arguing a bit But it doesnt last more than a minute She doesnt even recall what she says after Her personality was very bubbly , joyful She still laughs at her own stores or around dogs She might tell you stories over and over again Lives near Meyerland Easy parking and garage available for caretakers car Best hours would be 11-7/8 Thank you About the care needs: Caring. Patience with slow movement , not bossy , She is of Indian decent Does speak 2 languages ( english is her primary) If you have someone that has a Hispanic background or Indian background or anyone that really believes in family being so important and love for our seniors - not just list them around like children or anyone rough aggressive That would not be a fit but a personality strong and funny enough to take it all in stride Someone with some exposure to memory patients Female caregiver only please This generation is very proper about that it seems Thank you so much Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
