About who needs care: For mom with dementia. She got covid in 2020 and has been more or less bed bound since. She is quite frail. She is diabetic. She has a foley catheter that we are hoping to have removed soon due to frequent UTI's and her discomfort. She also has a feeding tube but can eat small amounts of solid foods. My dad has been her full time caregiver but we are recognizing that he too is showing signs of dementia and he is no longer able to care for her properly. She does have a medication schedule, meal schedule and daily physical therapy to keep her from muscle atrophy. My siblings and I hope to find someone who can offer companionship and encourage her engagement socially. Ensure that she stays clean and that her conditions are regularly monitored. We are hoping for someone who will prepare small meals for her and encourage her to eat more solid food. Light housekeeping duties: keeping her bedroom area neat and free of debris, dust and clutter. Desired credentials: CPR, BLS and First Aid Previous experience with caring for a bed bound person. Live-In preferred. Or if not live-in, 3-4 caregivers who can commit to the following schedule: Weekdays: Sunday - Thursday 7 p.m. - 7 a.m. Monday - Friday 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Weekends: 1 person - Friday 7 p.m. - Sunday 7 p.m. 2 people - Friday 7 p.m. - Saturday 7 a.m. / Saturday 7 a.m. - Sunday 7 p.m. About the care needs: For mom with dementia.
