About who needs care: My uncle has MS, is very much a homebody, and loves classical music, books, and talking. He is a vegetarian who loves good food, and is a true New Yorker. He is compassionate, kind, and a retired professor. He is incredibly intelligent and loves to learn new things, even into his 70s. He is overall self sufficient, but is starting to require help, especially if he wants to leave his apartment. About the care needs: We are looking for someone patient, empathetic, compassionate, and flexible. Sometimes my uncle can get frustrated, and technology consistently proves to be a big issue for him. Someone who can walk him through day to day tasks with kindness, and who is looking to connect with a really cool elder with a lot to share! Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
