About who needs care: - Client lives in her own home - Uses a walker or cane to move around on 1st & 2nd Floors. - Presently walks up stairs using railings, lift being installed late Nov. - Cooks her own meals - Independent - Pays her own bills, manages contractors - Doing PT - would need coaching/support to continue - Back & side pain - working with physician to reduce - Hobbies - painting & reading - Has one cat - Caregiver must not be allergic to cats. - Ideal 3-4 hr time period with Caregiver: * Do Morning PT Exercises - 15-20 mins * Do minor house cleaning together * Change bed sheets - New Sheets/Make bed * Do a couple loads of Laundry * Assist Client into Car - Aluminum walker * Drive to 1-2 Stores - usually w/I 5 miles * Assist Out of car to use a walker or store cart * shopping picking up items for next 3-4 days * Return Home - Unload * Make Lunch - Eat - Clean up * Validate Medication taken and Count aligns since last visit * Assist with taking Trash & Recycle out to cans * Pickup Mail (at street) and bring inside * Current Events or News article Discussion * Schedule Medical/Physician Appointment * Discuss plan for next visit - Document Status or any issues About the care needs: - An experience Caregiver (2-5 yrs min) woman 45+ - Grown children HS Jr/Sr or older better - working - Physically capable of assisting 175 lb woman in & out of vehicle and some ambulatory needs - Must have English as Primary language, speaks clearly with compassion, a good listener, broad experiences and willing to discuss, Republican leaning - Some Physician Visits - some Medical knowledge preferred - No Cell Phone, Computer, iPad during Client time, unless required to support client needs, contact relative/neighbors, or Emergency Personnel Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, and mobility assistance.
