About who needs care: The individual who is my sister-in-law is recovering from a Rehab stay, but has limited function of her legs. My wife and another sister both seniors are staying with her but need help. Ideally, she would have someone who is willing to lift or transfer her from her bed to a wheel chair. The patient's condition is complicated, but is totally lucid. The caretake would need to change diapers, bath, transfer her within the patient's home and dress the individual. All needed facilities are on the first floor. About the care needs: A positive warm friendly helpful personality willing to advise her sisters and the patient. Should know how to assist a mostly bedridden person, but seems to be gaining strength in legs. Should know how to transfer a patient, bath, drain bags of urine, etc. The patient is considered in Hospice because of inoperable cancer but may no longer qualify as her vital signs are good. She was recently hospitalized for a broken femur and then in rehab facility. We are all new to this. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
