About who needs care: My mother has Huntington's disease and has increasing care needs. She used to love going out to eat with friends, gardening, and playing cribbage, but does not do those things anymore. An ideal day would involve sleeping in, having breakfast at home, playing cribbage, going out for lunch with a friend, and getting home early afternoon to relax before supper. About the care needs: Caregivers must have a lot of patience, and a good sense of humor. Experience with non verbal communication is preferred. Knowing how to play cribbage would be a bonus! Our family lives in the country and hunts. Someone used to country living in an old house would be preferred. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
