About who needs care: My 84-year-old mother has Acute Myeloid Leukemia and receives Hospice services. My mother has shown an increase in forgetfulness and confusion at times. We are interested in twice daily visits, Sunday- Thursday, for 3 hours each visit to assist with medication reminders (she has a pill box set up), meal prep, and light housekeeping/laundry. As her disease progresses, she will require more hours in the future. We are hoping to find someone in Shelbyville to work the split shift, but would consider 2 different people. About the care needs: An individual who is experienced in supporting someone with a terminal illness and the expected physical and cognitive decline. Services needed include: meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, dressing assistance, and mobility assistance.
