About who needs care: He has cancer that has spread and his doctor just stopped his treatment this week. He struggles with mobility- uses a walker and intermittentently uses a whellchair. Want to stay at home at the end of life. I need help as I cannot be there 24-hours a day. Light housekeeping, some meal-prepping, laundry, diaper changing and toileting, showering, helping with morning routine- shaving, brushing teeth, taking meds, helping take blood sugar numbers. assist in caring for 2 indoor cats. likes to go outside in the yard and needs to get exercise to keep up strength. Has a nurse come three times a week, and once a week an OT, PT, and SLP. he doesn't like to be told what to do, so need someone diplomatic, easy going, and skilled in working with someone with some intermittent memory issues. About the care needs: -patient, easy going, respectful, listens to what he wants (doesn't give orders or is "bossy"), doesn't argue or get offended easily - tidy -self starter- when he doesn't need you will keep yourself busy doing laundry, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning, etc. - we need the help - knows how to work with someone who can be crabby when tired or not feeling well, or someone who has intermittent memory issues Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
