About who needs care: My son has diabetes resulting in neuropathy & diabetic neuropathy & needs my help every day with rides to dr. appts., food shopping, etc. I also do house cleaning for him as well as personal grooming, giving him his meds twice a day & other daily tasks. I retired & moved in with him from Stamford, CT, to help him out with everything. I have been told I should be paid for being his caregiver since I have no income other than Social Security & he is on permanent disability with difficulty walking even with a cane & unable to do every day tasks I have to help him with. Please advise what I need to do to qualify for being his 24/7 caregiver. Thank you About the care needs: Please see my previous detailed comments that explain I am a retired senior citizen of 77 needing to be a caregiver for my 55-year-old disabled son.
