Hi! Norma is my grand mother! She was diagnosed with Lewy-Body dementia & Parkinson's. Most important needs are; diaper changes (incontinence), bathing/grooming, feeding/meal preparation, and having oral medications throughout the day (8am, 12pm, 6pm). We would like somebody who is flexible as they will not be needed everyday (we live on the property). We're looking to start out a with a caregiver a few days a week, just so Norma can acclimate well to the change. Thank you :) 8am-12pm: She wakes up at 8am, has breakfast and meds (needs assistance with both) and she will probably need clothing/linens changed (incontinence) and help using the restroom and/or bathing/dressing. She will usually doze until 11:30/12 p.m. 12pm-4pm: She will take her noon pill and have lunch (needs assistance with both) and then she will either watch some TV and then nap in her recliner, or go straight back to bed. (Again, she may need help changing diaper and or linens if she did have an accident) 4pm-6:30pm: She will have dinner (needs assistance with meal times) and then take her meds at 6 p.m. and then she will use the restroom (needs assistance + diaper change) and then will go to bed. She spent a lot of her lifetime teaching and traveling. She will talk about her many travels for hours and teaching life. She also loves anthropology, history and archaeology. She LOVES her two cats Jinx and Malina (they are love bugsss). CPR certified + first aid Dementia care experience Elder care experience 2 cats! Jinx (boy) and Malina (girl) They're sweetie pies!
