About who needs care: Non ambulatory, so he needs to be lifted in and out of bed, onto the toiled etc. He needs to be fed and bathed. He enjoys walks and going in our pool. His typical day: wake up, toilet, breakfast, lunch, toilet, physical therapy (2 times a week) afternoon snack, dinner, toilet, bed. About the care needs: We are looking for a dependable, compassionate, and physically strong caregiver to support my wheelchair-bound brother. The ideal person is patient, respectful, and comfortable with all aspects of personal care, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and changing briefs. You must be able to lift up to 120 lbs for transfers and have a valid drivers license for appointments. Reliability and trustworthiness are essential, along with light housekeeping and meal prep. Prior experience with special needs care or certifications (CNA, HHA, CPR, etc.) are a plus and may increase pay, but above all we value kindness, strength, and commitment. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
