About who needs care: My mom is very independent, still driving , walks every day, cooks for herself , does the crossword, reads, etc. She has only recently reached out to me and my sister to acknowledge she needs some help. I think it would be daily help with getting ready, running errands, heating up meals, light housekeeping, and whatever else she needs support with. About the care needs: They will need to have a good sense of humor, and understand that my mom is super independent, but reluctantly asking for help. I would definitely want someone who is sort of patient because my mom can sometimes get flustered with with situations, or technology, and she is a very kind, loving generous woman. She doesnt have hobbies but still enjoys reading mystery books from the library, meeting friends for breakfast and lunch, shopping for clothes, and walls at the beach where she lives. She basically eats ready-made meals that she gets from the grocery store or specialty markets like Pasta Vita, and yogurt for breakfast. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
